It has been more than a week since I got my car back from you. I wanted to allow time to drive my car in different conditions to determine whether there were any issues. I am pleased to say that you have made some huge improvements to the cold/warm idle that I was hoping could be fixed.
I have been really amazed by the improvement in smoothness and progression of power when using the throttle vigorously. I have yet to try it out on the track and it will be interesting to see what impact that has. A more surprising bonus has been the suppression of any snatching that used to occur at slow speeds.
We had a club autotest round, pretty much like the state autotest, but both layouts on a double skidpan. Well the performance of my MX-5 was a revelation to me. At first I drove a bit cautiously and found the car strangely easy to control. The power delivery was just so smooth it was only my mistakes that caused a couple of poor times. Several of the experienced guys there including Murray, Ian Lewis, Graeme Martin and Warwick Gates all asked me what I had done as the car looked very different on the track. More composed I would guess you would say. And when I got it right I was much quicker than I had been before. To say I am pleased with the end result is a huge understatement! Thank you for changing my car into what it should have been in the first place.
