GTI Boyz Take On Quit Targa West 2012 Tarmac Rally

Established in 2007, GTi Racing, a small tarmac rally team based in Perth Western Australia, regularly takes on the big guns in Targa rallies - and prevails. In 2010 the boyz lined up again in their Evo 8 and finished eighth outright in competition modern behind the likes of Dean Herridge and Jim Richards. In the course of the rally they set a new record for the Summers Legal Zig Zag, and to date remain the fastest Evo team up the Zig Zag. In 2012, the team will run a purpose-built replica Ford Capri Perana.

GTI Girls Take On Quit Targa West 2011 Tarmac Rally

Two Western Australian women are about to tackle head on one of the most dangerous of all sports - tarmac rallying. Wilson resident Sharon Payne and Bayswater gal Helen Lunsmann have both featured on the podium driving in all-girls’ motorsport events in Perth and have finished in the top five in their class when racing against the men. They are now set to follow their long-held dream of running in a Targa event with the likes of past winner, Jim Richards.
